Driving Directions
Directions from Johannesburg: Take the N2 road to Witbank. Turn off to Ogies, pass through Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola. Continue south along the N2 past Mkuze and Hluhluwe. Take the turn-off left to Mtubatuba and St Lucia (R618) - as you approach Mtubatuba, turn left towards St Lucia (approximately 25km). Directions from Durban: Take the N2 North (you have the option of the Toll road or the alternate route via Stanger.) 40 kilometers after the turn-off to Richards Bay, turn right towards Mtubatuba. As you arrive in Mtubatuba, turn left and then right (R618) to St Lucia. When you arrive in the greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, pass over the bridges. Follow the road till you reach the traffic circle at the entrance to St. Lucia Residential Area. Turn Right into McKenzie Street and Protea Hotel St. Lucia is on the corner of McKenzie & Mullet Streets.
