Description
Protea Hotel Black Mountain, previously Thaba Nchu Sun, is the latest addition to Protea Hotels in the Free State. Carved from a hillside of unspoilt bush, Protea Hotel Black Mountain overlooks a dam and 5 800 hectares of game reserve. A celebration of African traditional architecture, the design of the hotel combines luxury and elegance demanded of a sophisticated resort. Public areas are under interlinked pyramids, whose patterned walls and grey slate roofs fit into the landscape.
Protea Hotel Black Mountain has 118 en-suite rooms, all elegantly furnished and decorated, in spectacular surroundings.
Dining facilities include a restaurant, terrace, Residents Lounge and several bars.
Leisure and sporting facilities include a fully-equipped gymnasium with sauna and jacuzzi, entertainment centre for children, sundowner cruises, fishing and a Solarium.
Conferencing at Protea Hotel Black Mountain comprises 8 venues, with seating from 27 to 600 in a range of seating styles.
